Charlton, 24, was Dallas’ first-round draft pick in 2017. In his two-plus seasons with the Cowboys, he registered just four sacks.
Miami will give Charlton a chance to play on the edge and generate some pressure. They were in need of pass-rushing help as they have just three sacks on the season.
