San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Maurice Hurst is set to miss the season with a triceps injury according to Nick Wagner. He is set to have surgery for the injury soon.
Hurst, 27, is a four-year veteran out of Michigan. He has eight sacks and nine tackles for loss in his career. In the 2018 NFL Draft, Hurst was a fifth-round selection by the Raiders. He had 7.5 sacks over two seasons with the Raiders.
With the 49ers, Hurst was projected to provide solid depth along the interior. The team will now look in another direction behind Javon Kinlaw and Arik Armstead.
