Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is reportedly in concussion protocol. He will have to clear the protocol if he wants to play in Week 10. A concussion has not been officially diagnosed at time of writing.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter.
Stafford and the Rams have taken a huge step back in 2022 after winning last season’s Super Bowl. They sit at 3-5, which is good for only third in the division. Their playoff hopes took another hit in Week 9 when the Buccaneers (who are also underachieving) beat them with a last-minute drive.
In eight games this year, Stafford has completed 68.4 passes for just 1,928 yards and eight touchdowns. He also has eight interceptions, five fumbles and has been sacked 28 times. He led the league in interceptions last season as well.
