Former Falcons and Colts quarterback Matt Ryan has a new gig. It was announced on Monday that Ryan will join CBS Sports as an NFL analyst. In a tweet of his own, he added that it was officially not a retirement announcement, meaning a return to the field is technically possible.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
Ryan spent 2008 through 2021 with the Atlanta Falcons after being drafted third overall by the team in the 2008 NFL Draft. During his time there, he made a Super Bowl and four Pro Bowls and won NFL MVP and NFL OPOY.
He spent 2022 with the Indianapolis Colts, getting activated and benched a few times during the tumultuous season. Ryan played and started 12 games, going 4-7-1 throwing for 14 touchdowns and 13 interceptions last season.
