The 49ers selected offensive tackle Colton McKivitz with the pick acquired from the Dolphins. San Francisco used Raheem Mostert down the stretch and also have Jeffrey Wilson and Tevin Coleman on the roster at the running back position.
Miami signed Jordan Howard this offseason and Breida will give them two solid running backs. Breida can change the pace and handle pass-catching duties.
Breida, 25, rushed for 631 yards last season and has 1,902 rushing yards in his three seasons in the league.
