Mark Murphy: “Packers are Committed to Aaron Rodgers in 2021”

Publish Date: May 3, 2021

Owner and CEO of the Green Bay Packers, Mark Murphy, states the Packer “will be committed to Aaron Rodgers in 2021 and beyond.”

Aaron Rodgers made headlines last week when he announced his dissatisfaction with his contract with The Green Bay Packers. Once he went public with his statements, many teams such as the Las Vegas Raiders and Denver Bronco’s expressed interest in trading from Rodger’s.

However, Packers owner Mark Murphy addressed the issues with Rodgers in person and that the Packers are “committed to Rodgers in 2021 and beyond.”

“This is an issue that we have been working on for several months. Brian Gutekunst, Matt LaFleur, and I have flown out on several occasions to meet with Aaron. We are very much aware of Aaron’s concerns and have been working with him (and his agent Dave Dunn) to resolve them. We remain committed to Aaron in 2021 and beyond. He is not only a tremendously talented player but has developed into a true leader for us. Aaron’s relationship with Matt and the other offensive coaches has propelled us to the brink of the Super Bowl in two straight years. We look forward to competing for another Super Bowl championship with Aaron as our leader.” Murphy said confidently in a public statement.

While hopeful, Murphy’s statements confirm that rumors regarding Rodgers’s relationship with the Packers turning sour were true.

Is Aaron Rodgers Leaving the Packers!?

Despite Murphy’s words from yesterday, many people, fans, and experts alike speculate where the veteran quarterback will go.

One team suggestion that has the internet in a frenzy is the possibility of Rodgers going to the Raiders.

Yesterday morning, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that spot on Las Vegas “intrigues” the 37-year-old quarterback Las Vegas.

The report quickly reached the Twitter-sphere and meme’s quickly sprouted

While Raiders fans are excited by Fowler’s report, they shouldn’t get too excited as The Spun reported today that the San Fransico 49ers and the Denver Broncos are also on Rodgers’s wishlist.
