Running back Mark Ingram has signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Houston Texans. The Heisman Trophy-winning back was previously with the Baltimore Ravens.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter released the news via Twitter on Thursday afternoon.
During his two-year stint with the Ravens, Ingram played in 16 games and scored 12 rushing touchdowns and five receiving touchdowns. In 2019 he eclipsed 1,000 yards, which dropped precipitously in 2020 when he had 299.
Ingram also played for eight years with the Saints. He has never reached a Super Bowl. Now that his deal with the Texans is officially inked, he will likely be the featured back, especially if David Johnson is not healthy.
