Patriots quarterback Mac Jones is sitting out Thursday’s practice due to an illness. The reported stomach illness may or may not keep Mac Jones out of Week 2’s contest against the Ravens. Stay tuned to TGH for more information on his availability.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Thursday.
Jones also seemed to suffer an injury during Week 1’s game against the Miami Dolphins. He received an MRI for reported back spasms three days ago, but the MRI came back negative. As far as injuries go, he is cleared to play on Sunday.
In Week 1, Jones attempted 30 passes, completing 21. He threw for 213 yards, one touchdown and one interception, taking two sacks and losing one fumble on the day. If the stomach illness precludes him from playing next week, TGH will have a story on it on the NFL page.
Stay tuned for more breaking NFL content, including preseason moves, contract updates and more news from every team.
