The Los Angeles Rams have re-signed free agent quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The contract details are not public yet.
Garoppolo, 33, is a 11-year NFL veteran who has played for the Rams, Raiders, 49ers and Patriots in his career. He has passed for 15,828 yards, 96 touchdowns and 52 interceptions on 67.4 percent completion. Last season, he passed for 334 yards in his one start.
After the Rams brought back Matthew Stafford this offseason, they now have a capable backup returning in Garoppolo.
