The 2022 NFL Draft begins on April 28, which means that The Game Haus will be debuting draft profiles for every team. Each NFL team will be evaluated heading into this year’s draft, as our staff recaps their last season, highlights their needs and pinpoints their potential 2022 NFL Draft targets. The Los Angeles Rams are the subject of today’s 2022 NFL Draft profile.
Summary
The Rams capped their season with a win in Super Bowl LVI against the upstart Cincinnati Bengals. They did this by trading away picks left and right to create the nearest thing to a veteran “super team” that the NFL has ever seen. Among those veterans acquired Sean McVay’s run have been Jalen Ramsey, Matthew Stafford, Von Miller, Odell Beckham, Jr., Andrew Whitworth and more.
Despite some departures, the Rams are still in a relatively good spot. They have only one pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, and here is how they can use it to return to the Super Bowl.
2022 NFL Picks
Los Angeles will have one picks to use in the first three rounds of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Third Round (one pick): No. 104
Team needs
Offensive tackle- Andrew Whitworth retired, and was still incredibly productive as one of the only players in the league at one of the most important positions. It won’t be easy to replace that production with a third round pick, but that’s what the Rams have to try to do.
2022 Draft Targets
Third Round:
Pick No. 104: Nicolas Petit-Frere, OT, Ohio State
It seems fitting that a relatively underrated offensive lineman would fall to the Super Bowl champions with this pick. Petit-Frere played in a pro-ready offense and despite some questions about his overall strength, he is a good athlete at the tackle position. This would be a no-brainer for the Rams.
