
The Los Angeles Chargers have agreed to hire Jim Harbaugh as their head coach according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Harbaugh will move to the Chargers after coaching his alma mater Michigan the last nine seasons. He posted an 89-25 record with the Wolverines winning the National Championship this season.
Before taking the job at Michigan, Harbaugh coached the 49ers and at Stanford. With the 49ers, Harbaugh posted a 44-19-1 record. He led the 49ers to the Super Bowl following the 2012 season. At Stanford, he had a 29-21 record over four seasons.
With the Chargers, Harbaugh will take over for Brandon Staley, who was fired during the season. The Chargers went 5-12 last season.
