Defensive tackle Linval Joseph has reportedly come to terms on a one-year deal with the Eagles. This will be the 13th NFL season for Joseph, who was drafted back in 2010. The amount of money on his new deal has not yet been released.
CBS Sports’ Josina Anderson reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.
Joseph was drafted by the Giants, and spent four years there. He then signed and played out a five-year deal with the Vikings, finally being released in 2020. The Chargers gave him an NFL home for two seasons, which he also played out.
The Eagles are signing Joseph to help mitigate the loss of Jordan Davis, a combine sensation who ran a 5.1 in the 40-yard dash. He had 14 combined tackles and a pass deflection in eight games played. Joseph will help fill his role in Philly’s run defense.
