The Buffalo Bills cut former star running back LeSean McCoy on Saturday morning according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Surprise cut: Bills are releasing LeSean McCoy, per source.

McCoy, 31, has started at running back for the Bills for the last four seasons. Before that he starred for the Eagles for six seasons. He has 10,606 rushing yards and 69 rushing touchdowns in his career. Last season, McCoy struggled with just 514 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 3.2 yards per carry. The six-time Pro Bowler will now be a free agent.
The Bills seem to be willing to move on from McCoy because rookie Devin Singletary has played well in the preseason. Buffalo will likely use Singletary and veteran Frank Gore on the majority of snaps at running back this season.
