Larry Fitzgerald is joining ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown, which is the pregame show directly preceding Monday Night Football. Many other NFL stars have had the specifics of their TV contracts leaked, but Fitzgerald’s is unknown.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.
Fitzgerald’s Hall of Fame career began in 2004, when he was drafted with the third overall pick by the Arizona Cardinals. He accrued a multitude of accolades over his 17-year career, including 11 Pro Bowl selections, becoming a member of both the 2010s NFL All-Decade Team and the NFL 100th Anniversary team.
He grabbed 1,432 receptions for 17,492 yards and 121 touchdowns in his career. Fitzgerald also led the NFL in touchdown receptions in 2008 and 2009. Much like many other Hall-of-Famers, he now moves into the world of broadcasting to continue to impart his knowledge of the game.
Stay tuned for more breaking NFL content, including preseason moves, contract updates and more news from every team.
