Kansas City Chiefs Re-Sign Chad Henne on 1-Year Deal

Chiefs re-sign Chad Henne

The Kansas City Chiefs have re-signed quarterback Chad Henne on a one-year, $2 million deal according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Henne, 36, is a former second-round pick who will now back up Patrick Mahomes for the fifth-straight season. He has 13,290 passing yards, 60 touchdowns and 63 interceptions on 59.6 percent completion. Over the last several seasons with the Chiefs, he has played in eight games with 359 passing yards and two touchdowns.

The deal will give the Chiefs an experience backup behind Mahomes. When Mahomes has gone down with injury, Henne has filled in admirably, even in the playoffs.
