With the Kansas City Chiefs Schedule recently being released, here is a look at weeks 10-18 of the 2022 season. In the first part of the schedule, the Chiefs finished 5-3 through nine weeks.
Prediction: Win
Jacksonville is a team that is coming off of two straight number one overall picks. The Jaguars are also bringing in a new coach this year in former Super Bowl Champion Doug Pederson. This was predominantly a move to coach up quarterback Trevor Lawrence after a lackluster rookie campaign. The Jaguars roster still needs a lot of work to compete with the top teams.
Prediction: Loss
The Chargers will sweep the Kansas City Chiefs this year. With young star Justin Herbert gaining momentum every season and a roster that is peaking, it’s time for the Chargers to take the throne of the AFC West. This matchup will be one to watch for years to come but at the moment Los Angeles’ roster is far superior. This game can likely be the deciding factor on who will win the AFC West.
Prediction: Win
After a heartbreaking loss to a divisional rival, the Chiefs are going to come out the next week on fire. Playing the Super Bowl champs at home will no doubt be a massive game for Kansas City. The possibility of a Super Bowl hangover is always imminent. But the Rams are loaded at nearly every position thanks to last year’s trades. Expect this game to be another shoot-out type of game as both teams have no shortage of offensive weapons.
Prediction: Win
Kansas City’s schedule does not get any easier here as they have to face the reigning AFC champs in Cincinnati. The Bengals’ young core is among the best in the league, quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase took the league by storm in the 2021 playoffs.

But there is no telling what Bengals team we are going to see this year. Will we get the dominant playoff Bengals or the mostly average regular-season Bengals? With questions still in Cincinnati’s secondary the Chiefs will be able to move up and down the field on the former AFC champs.
Prediction: Win
Another much improved AFC West team. The Broncos shocked the league this offseason when they traded for Russell Wilson. Ever since Peyton Manning left the team Denver has been searching for their franchise’s quarterback. With Wilson at the helm along with many young weapons, the Broncos could be a scary team within this division. The Broncos have a very solid roster top to bottom but the Chiefs’ experience will be the deciding factor in this matchup as the playoffs approach.
Prediction: Win
The Texans have a good chance at landing the number one overall pick this season. Quarterback Davis Mills was a surprising bright spot as a rookie last year. But other than Mills this roster needs a complete rebuild. Houston might not be a very competitive team in the next five years. At this point in the season, Houston may be tanking the last couple of games to secure that number one draft pick as the Chiefs are in a race to win the division.
Prediction: Win
Seattle is another team that may be going into a full rebuild. After trading away their franchise quarterback it doesn’t seem as though the Seahawks are trying to win this season. Seattle’s season is depending on newly acquired quarterback Drew Lock. Depending on how the young quarterback performs it’s either going to be a long season for Seattle or a surprising one.
Prediction: Loss
With two more games left in the regular season, the Broncos will be fighting for a wild card spot and can prevent the Chiefs from winning the AFC West. In this game, the Broncos will already be in win-or-go-home mode, and the Chiefs will be relatively safe with just conference seeding to worry about. This will be a close matchup but the Broncos will pull it out to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Prediction: Loss
This is the rare occasion that all four division teams will be fighting for the playoffs. The Chiefs will lose another tough game as Derek Carr does what he does best which is win close games. The reason that the Chiefs will lose in this matchup is that they don’t have anyone to match up with Davante Adams or Darren Waller. Those two together are a scary duo for any team let alone a Chiefs team that is struggling with their secondary.
The Kansas City Chiefs are still a very good football team. But with the key losses on both sides of the football and the AFC West becoming a very tough division the Chiefs will struggle more often this year than what fans have become used to seeing.
