Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney has already attempted to deal with his most recent injury. Toney reportedly suffered a knee injury in training camp, but has already undergone cleanup surgery to try and get back on the field.
PFF’s Ario Meirov reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old wide receiver was taken 20th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Giants, but lasted less than two full seasons there before being traded to the Chiefs. Kansas City snatched him up in 2022 for a third and a sixth round pick.
Toney now holds the record for the longest punt return in NFL history, at 65 yards. During his seven regular season games with the Chiefs, he had 14 catches for 38 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught a go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl.
