Minnesota Vikings All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson is headed to injured reserve. After suffering a hamstring injury in Sunday’s loss, Jefferson will now miss at least four games, which is the minimum necessary after landing on IR.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.
In 2022, Jefferson led the entire NFL in receptions (128) and yards (1,809), adding eight touchdowns to his totals. So far in 2023, he has 33 catches and 543 yards in just four games, which was a pace to break those previous career highs.
These four games will be the first games Jefferson has ever missed in his career so far. He failed to start in two games during the 2020 season, but did play in them. He’s also never failed to eclipse 1,400 yards. His best scoring season came in 2021, with 10 touchdowns.
