JuJu Smith-Schuster Ask Fans to “Back Off” on Social Media

Publish Date: January 25, 2021

JuJu Smith-Schuster  took to social media to ask fans to not come to his house, during his offseason “vacation.”

Smith-Schuster is not only best recognized by his career with the Steelers, but also his large social media presence, especially on TikTok. Recently, his social media antics seem to have caused trouble for not only his team but also himself.

Smith-Schuster took to Instagram to ask fans to not come to his family’s home while he is on what says is “his vacation.”

It all began with a tweet on January 19, with Smith-Schuster telling his fans it, “Felt so good coming back home yesterday, first time seeing my brothers and sisters in 7 months!”

After sending posting the tweet, however, fans began to show up at his family’s home to “crash” his vacation. This resulted in Smith-Schuster sending a message on his Instagram to his followers, asking them to back off

“Yo, for those people who keep coming up to my house. I’m on vacation and enjoying my time off,” Smith-Schuster wrote on Instagram. “Love y’all and appreciate y’all but please be respectful and mindful of us being here. Have a nice night.”

Smith-Schuster’s social media post also brought trouble to him earlier in the regular season. One infamous post on TikTok of him dancing on the Cleveland Browns logo caught backlash from fans, teammates, and coaches alike. He later released a statement, telling fans that he would no longer post himself dancing on the opposing team’s logos before the games after the Steelers lost to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Where is JuJu going?

Smith-Schuster is set to be a free agent going into March. Many sports outlets speculate that JuJu’s future is with the New York Jets, who would benefit greatly from a wide receiver.
