Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor is out yet again in Week 9. After being famous for not even missing a practice, let alone a game in high school, college and the pros, Taylor will miss his third game of 2022.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news via Twitter on Friday.
Taylor has played in six games so far this season, carrying the ball 107 times for 462 yards and only one touchdown. He’s also added 16 catches for 71 more yards. As the offensive line continues to underperform, his performance is a far cry from last year when he led the league in carries and rushing yards and rushing touchdowns.
The Colts remain in flux after the team benched Matt Ryan for the rest of the year in favor of Sam Ehlinger. Normally, Nyheim Hines would receive the bulk of the carries in Taylor’s absence, but he was traded away at the deadline, despite Taylor’s injury.
