Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor may have to miss some time in the coming weeks. Apparently, Taylor suffered a thumb injury that is officially causing him to be listed as questionable. Zack Moss will pick up the slack if Taylor cannot go.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.
Taylor was a second round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and has been one of the best running backs in the game since he was chosen. He’s rushed for over 1,100 yards in each year that he’s played in at least 12 games.
During the 2023 offseason, Taylor had a contract dispute, as did many other running backs, that turned contentious and enigmatic. It involved injury concerns and tension with the front office. Since returning he’s played in seven games, rushing for 414 yards and four touchdowns.
