Two Los Angeles Chargers suffered injuries during Week 3’s loss to the Jaguars. Joey Bosa has a groin injury and offensive tackle Rashawn Slater has a biceps injury that is reported to be serious enough to keep him out for the rest of the season.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
Bosa is a four-time Pro Bowler and was Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2016. Surprisingly, he has no First Team All-Pro selections in his seven-year NFL career. In three games so far in 2022, he has seven total tackles, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble. If he does miss time, this will be the fourth season in which he has missed games.
Slater was drafted in 2021, and made a name for himself quickly. He was fourth in voting for Offensive Rookie of the Year, Second Team All-Pro and a Pro Bowl selection. He played and started in all 16 games last season.
