Joel Bitonio signs extension with Cleveland Browns

Joel Bitonio Browns

Cleveland Browns left guard Joel Bitonio has signed a three-year extension. Bitonio is currently the longest-tenured Brown on the roster and will remain so until at least 2024.

The Cleveland Browns’ official Twitter account announced the news on Wednesday.

Bitonio is a three-time Pro Bowler, earning spots in 2018, 2019 and 2020. In all three of those years, he was selected to the Second Team All-Pro. A former second round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft out Nevada, he has played every game in five of his seven seasons in the NFL. He has also played in every game so far this season.

He also played 100 percent of offensive snaps in those five seasons in which he played in every game. That does not include playing on every snap in all nine games this season. In 104 games played and 13,700 snaps, Bitonio has committed only 24 penalties total, including declined/off-setting penalties.

The Browns play the New England Patriots in Week 10.
