Former Browns linebacker Joe Schobert has signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The deal is worth a reported $53.75 million over five years.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday afternoon.
Former #Browns LB Joe Schobert is headed to the #Jaguars on a 5-year, $53.75M deal, source said. He gets an average of $10.75M per year. $12M to sign and $22.5M guaranteed. A new face on that Jax defense.

Schobert collected four interceptions for the Browns in 2019. He also forced two fumbles and recovered one, while also collecting 133 combined tackles. Despite all the turnovers he did not have a single touchdown on the season.
The linebacker has been in the league since 2016, hauling in two total interceptions in his first three years. Thus, he doubled his career total in one year. He should be a good addition to a Jaguars team that does not seem to have much of a direction.
