
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is undergoing surgery to have his appendix removed according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The team has just reported for preseason practice and Burrow is expected to miss some practice time, but no games.
Burrow, 25, is a two-year veteran who led the Bengals to the Super Bowl. He has passed for 7,299 yards, 47 touchdowns and 19 interceptions on 68.2 percent completion in 26 career games.
With Burrow out for a little bit of time, backups Brandon Allen and Jake Browning will get more reps.
