
The Cincinnati Bengals have re-signed quarterback Joe Burrow to a five-year, $275 million extension according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
According to Schefter, $219.01 million of the contract will be guaranteed. Burrow will be the highest-paid player in the league with the deal.
Burrow was the no. 1 overall pick by the Bengals in the 2020 NFL Draft. He led the Bengals to the Super Bowl in the 2021-22 postseason. In his career, he has passed for 11,774 yards, 82 touchdowns and 31 interceptions on 68.2 percent completion.
The Bengals open up the season on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.
