The Jets have engaged in a trade with the Baltimore Ravens. Strong safety Chuck Clark is headed to the Jets in exchange for a 2024 seventh round pick. The 2023 season is the last year of Clark’s current contract, and he will be a free agent after the season.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Thursday.
Clark was a sixth round draft pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, by the Baltimore Ravens. He’s played his entire career in Baltimore until this trade took place on Thursday. In his career, he has 332 tackles, 3.5 sacks, five forced fumbles and five picks.
In 2022, Clark had a career high in tackles, both solo and combined (61 and 101, respectively). He also added four pass deflections in 17 games. Since being drafted, Clark has only failed to play in two regular season games.
