After losing Jaelan Phillips to a torn Achilles, the Dolphins wasted no time in filling his role. Veteran defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul has agreed to sign with Miami after spending less than a year with the Miami Dolphins.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.
Pierre-Paul was the 15th overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Giants. He won a Super Bowl during his tenure there, then repeated the feat in 2020 after being traded to the Buccaneers for a third round pick, becoming an anchor of that defense.
He spent 2022 with the Ravens, and has now been a member of two teams so far this season. Last season, Pierre-Paul played in 14 games (starting 13) and racked up 26 combined tackles, three sacks and an interception.
