Once again, Cleveland Browns fans have shown why they are one of the best fan bases in the NFL. Crowds of people were lined up hours before the gates opened in Lake County for Jarvis Landry‘s celerity softball game this weekend. Team Landry squared off against Team Kelce and while the Kansas City Chief tight end would normally be a fierce rival to the Browns, they were able to come together for a good cause.
The captain of the opposing team, Travis Kelce, is a Cleveland native. He played high school football for Cleveland Heights High School and stayed in Ohio to further his career and education at the University of Cincinnati. Kelce had high praise for the Cleveland Browns, stating that he believes the two teams are “Neck and Neck,” when it comes to being playoff contenders.

Baker is back from Texas and back to making noise on the field. Except this weekend it was on the softball field. Mayfield hit seven home runs in the home run derby to co-champion the derby with Demarius Bilbo who also hit seven. Bilbo is Landry’s agent at Klutch Sports. The Cleveland Browns players showed their athleticism on the diamond besting the opposing team 22-7.

Odell Beckham was another familiar face at the celebrity softball game. However his amazing talent for catching footballs and running routes did not translate to the softball field. But even though he did not help his team much this weekend there was high praise from hi teammates as he appears to be in great shape as he recovers from his knee injury from the past season. Landry told reporters “Man he looked amazing, I can’t wait for you guys to see him. I can’t wait for him to get back out there. He’s in fantastic shape and he’s ready to go. He’s only what, 6 1/2 months (beyond surgery), and he’s already doing some things that will blow your mind away.”
This is great news for Cleveland Browns fans as having him back on the field should take their offense to the next level.
