After being released by the New York Giants, cornerback James Bradberry has signed with a new team. Bradberry and the Eagles have reportedly agreed to a one-year, $7.5 million deal with an additional $2.5 million in incentives.
The Eagles’ Twitter account released the news on Wednesday morning.
After being drafted in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, Bradberry played the first four years of his career in Carolina. He, then, signed a three-year, $45 million deal with the New York Giants in 2020. The Giants cut him after they could not find a trade partner for him before the third year of that deal began.
Bradberry has been selected to just one Pro Bowl (2020), despite solid production. In 2021, he started 16 games and played in all 17. He collected four interceptions (a career high), had 47 total tackles and recovered two fumbles. He will now play for, arguably, the Giants’ biggest rival in Philadelphia.
