Jameis Winston has agreed to a one-year, $8 million deal to return to the New Orleans Saints according to Josina Anderson and Ian Rapoport.
Winston, 29, started three games for the Saints last season before fracturing his back and missing the rest of the season. He has been on the Saints for three seasons after starting his career in Tampa Bay. In his career, Winston has passed for 21,840 yards, 139 touchdowns and 96 interceptions on 61.3 percent completion.
The Saints have already signed Derek Carr to be their starter for next season, so Winston will return as a backup. He formerly was the backup to Drew Brees for the Saints.
