Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has announced the severity of Jamal Adams’ injury. Apparently, Adams has a “serious injury” to his quad. The exact nature of the injury and the amount of time he’ll miss is unclear at time of writing, but it is safe to assume he will miss a significant amount of games.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.
In 2021, Adams played and started in 12 games. He had 87 combined tackles, five pass deflections and two interceptions last year. The two interceptions marked a career high in a season for Adams. This will be the fourth year in a row in which he misses time due to injury.
