Newly minted Miami Dolphin cornerback Jalen Ramsey is on the road to recovery. After suffering a knee injury that saw him carted off of the field during training camp, Ramsey is undergoing surgery. Reports have him aiming to return around December.
NFL reporter Cameron Wolfe reported the news via Twitter on Friday.
Ramsey was selected fifth overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars, spending four years there and even helping lead the defense to an AFC Championship Game. He was traded to the Rams for a first round pick, and won a Super Bowl in short order.
For the fourth time in his career, Ramsey played every game of the season, collecting career highs in combined tackles (88), sacks (two), pass defenses (18) and interceptions (four). The Dolphins acquired him for a third rounder during the offseason.
