The Philadelphia Eagles have signed defensive tackle Jalen Carter to a four-year, $152 million extension, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. He can make up to $160 million and $106 million is guaranteed.
Carter, 25, has played three NFL seasons after being a first-round pick by Philadelphia. He helped the Eagles win a Super Bowl and is a two-time Pro Bowler. In his career, he has 25 tackles for loss and 13.5 sacks.
Philadelphia’s defense is loaded, specifically up front with Carter and his former Georgia teammate Jordan Davis. The defense ranked fifth in scoring last season and will be looking to build on that this season.
