The New York Giants are signing quarterback Jake Fromm to their practice squad. Previously, he had spent time with the Buffalo Bills on their practice squad. The specifics of the deal are unknown, but the contract is likely a one-year minimum.
The NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.

Fromm is most well known for being the University of Georgia’s three-year starter. He took the Bulldogs to a College Football National Championship as a true freshman in 2017. He and Georgia would go on to lose that game to SEC rival Alabama.
After being taken in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, he spent time with the Bills, as stated above, but was released. The Giants are likely taking Fromm as insurance against Daniel Jones, who is struggling as of late.
