The Jacksonville Jaguars have hired Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen to be their next head coach according to ESPN’s Jenna Laine.
Coen originally turned down the job, but then the Jaguars parted ways with general manager Trent Baalke.
Before being Tampa Bay’s offensive coordinator last season, Ceon was an offensive coordinator for the Kentucky Wildcats and the Los Angeles Rams. He also spent time at Brown, UMass and Maine as an assistant.
In Jacksonville, Coen takes over for Doug Pederson, who went 22-29 in three seasons with the team.
