Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver D.J. Chark is out for the rest of the season. He suffered an ankle injury that turned out to be a fracture in Week 4’s loss against the Cincinnati Bengals. Chark was originally placed on injured reserve as the team hope he would return, but was announced to be out for the rest of year after Week 7 concluded.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Monday morning.
In four games in 2021, Chark had seven catches for 154 yards and two touchdowns. He was a Pro Bowl selection in his sophomore season, 2019, racking up over 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns.
Since being drafted by the Jaguars in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Chark has had three head coaches and four different quarterbacks in his tenure. He will be available to play again next season, hopefully with consistency at both of those positions.
