2021 will be Realmuto’s eighth year in the MLB. He spent the first six years of his career with the Miami Marlins before being signed by the Phillies in 2019. During the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, Realmuto hit .266 over 47 games. He also raked in 32 RBI and 11 home runs.
Realmuto has been an All-Star selection twice, in 2018 and 2019. He also has two Silver Slugger awards in the same years and one Gold Glove in 2019. In 2020, he served as a designated hitter as the rules were changed in light of the struggle to play through COVID-19.
