J.J. Watt will miss Thursday’s game with shoulder injury

JJ Watt injury

Arizona Cardinals defensive end J.J. Watt will miss Thursday night’s matchup with the Packers. He is reportedly missing the game with a shoulder injury.

The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday afternoon.

Watt has played all seven games in his first season with the Arizona Cardinals. In those seven games he has two passes defended, one sack, one forced fumble and 16 combined tackles. Since being drafted in 2011, Watt has missed a total of 32 games with injury.

A five-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro selection, Watt also has three defensive player of the year awards under his belt. He signed with the Cardinals on a two-year, $28 million contract despite many suitors, including his hometown team, the Green Bay Packers, whom the Cardinals play on Thursday.
