J.J Watt Predicted to Leave Texans

Publish Date: January 31, 2021

J.J Watt, brother to star linebacker T.J. Watt, was predicted to leave the Houston Texans, according to NFL Insider Rapoport.

The spotlight in the news has shined on the Texans the past couple of weeks, after their starting quarterback Deshaun Watson, reportedly has demanded a trade two weeks ago. Now NFL Insider another Texan staple might be leaving soon. That player is star defensive end J.J Watt.

Ian Rapoport , host of the RapSheet and Friends podcast, made the prediction today, Saturday January 30, in the early morning.

Watt only has a year left on his contract with the Texans, which has yet to be renewed. With the lack of announcements about Watt’s future with the Texans, many fans, and Rapoport, are left wondering if Watt will remain on the team next season.

Watt has and still is a defensive staple for the Texans and arguable one of the best defensive players to ever play in the history of the league. Taking home three Defensive Player of the Year awards within a span of four years.

Where Could J.J. Watt Go?

With Rapoport’s predictions this morning concerning Watt, other sports outlets have offered their predictions on where Watt could play.

CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora, reported that Watt would be traded in the coming offseason, with “virtual certainty.”

“It’s a wrap! He knows he only has so many games left and he is ready to go and try to win. The guys in that locker room are bracing for it.” La Canfora’s article stated. The artle was posted before Watt’s disconnect with the Texans came to the publics opinion.

While NBC Sports predicts that Watt will go to the San Franscico 49ers, many fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers believe that Watt will go to play for them next season. This is due to the Steelers recently acquiring Derek Watt, brother of (T.J) Watt and (J.J) Watt. If J.J. Watt would go to the Steelers, the team will have all three Watt brothers, making for a powerful defense.
