The Houston Texans will re-sign A.J. McCarron to back up Deshaun Watson. He posted on Instagram to announce his return.
McCarron, 29, has played six NFL season with the Bengals, Raiders and Texans. He has 1,153 passing yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions in his career. His calling card is being a solid backup, as he has only started four games in his career.
With the Texans having a spotty offensive line, it is imperative that they got a good backup quarterback in case Deshaun Watson goes down with an injury.
