Steelers legend, Hines Ward and his wife, Lindsey Ward, announced on Instagram that they are expecting a child
“Our little MVP.. coming soon” the post read on Hines Ward’s official Instagram page this week. The new child will be the latest addition to the family and Wards’ second child and his first child with Lindsey. Ward’s first child is Jaden ward from his previous marriage.
The Pittsburgh Steelers even gave time out their day to congratulate Ward and his wife about the pregnancy. Congratulating the couple on Twitter.
Ward is widely known around the Pittsburgh area for winning the MVP in Superbowl XL, where they defeated the Seattle Seahawks by just one point (21-22).
Ward is originally from South Korea and the child of Kim Younghee and his African-American father, Hines Ward Sr. Wards parents moved to Georgia one year after Ward was born. Both his mother and father are divorced.
During high school, Ward took up football, and would later play football for the Georgia Bulldogs. After his college career, Ward would be drafted by the Steelers in 1998, and from there the rest is history.
Ward is currently an assistant offensive coach for the New York Jets.
