Defensive tackle Hassan Ridgeway is starting a journey with a new team. The former Colts, Eagles and 49ers tackle is reportedly signing a deal with the Houston Texans worth $4 million ($3 million guaranteed), for one year.
KPRC’s Aaron Wilson helped break the news on Monday via Twitter.
Out of the University of Texas back in 2016, Ridgeway was a fourth round draft pick of the Indianapolis Colts. This will be his second-consecutive one-year contract, as Ridgeway does not start much with the current state of defensive tackle personnel packages.
Ridgeway played in 12 games last season, starting seven. He had just one sack and 28 combined tackles, but forced no turnovers. He previously spent three years with Indianapolis (2016-2019), three years with Philadelphia (2019-2021) and one season with the 49ers.
Stay tuned for more breaking NFL content, including midseason moves, contract updates and more news from every team.
