The Green Bay Packers have released veteran offensive tackle David Bakhtiari after 11 seasons. Bakhtiari released a statement on social media announcing the news.
The veteran offensive tackle out of Colorado made three Pro Bowls and two All-Pro teams during his 11 seasons in Green Bay. He had a $40 million cap hit for the 2024 season and the Packers will clear over half of that by releasing him.
He is now an unrestricted free agent and can sign with any team. The Athletic’s Dianna Russini has speculated that the Jets may be interested due to Bakhtiari’s relationship with Aaron Rodgers.
