Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle Grady Jarrett is set to miss significant time for the first time in his NFL career. He suffered a torn ACL in Sunday’s 28-23 loss to the Tennessee Titans, and is now out for the remainder of the season.
The NFL’s official Twitter account tweeted out the news, originally reported by Ian Rapoport.
The 30-year-old Jarrett was a fifth round draft selection in the 2015 NFL Draft out of Clemson. He wasn’t a member of any Clemson National Championship teams, but was First Team All-ACC in 2014. He’s been a Falcon since he was drafted and is currently on his third contract with the team.
He’s played in all eight games in 2023, recording two pass defenses, 1.5 sacks and 23 combined tackles. Jarrett has also made two Pro Bowls, in 2019 and 2020. In those two seasons combined, he collected 11.5 sacks.
