Darren Waller is subject of the biggest trades of the 2023 offseason so far. The Giants are sending the Las Vegas Raiders a third round pick (number 100 overall) for Waller. There is a potential out in his contract after the 2023-2024 season.
The NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.
Waller was a sixth round draft pick in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. He remained in Baltimore until 2018 after a season ending injury in 2015, then being suspended for violating the league’s substance abuse policy in 2016 and 2017.
He was given a second chance by the Raiders, eventually playing his way off of the practice squad and earning a big payday. Waller played in just nine games last year, grabbing 28 catches and three touchdowns.
