The New York Giants are cutting cornerback James Bradberry from their roster. This move comes, reportedly, after they could not find any team to trade for him. It will free up over $10 million in salary cap space for the Giants.
The Athletic’s Giants’ beat reporter tweeted about the news on Monday afternoon.
The Giants are releasing CB James Bradberry after failing to find a trade partner, per source. The move will create $10.1M in cap savings while leaving $11.7M in dead money.
(Savings will be $11.5M with $10.4M dead this year and $1.4M dead in 2023 if they make it a June 1 cut)

Bradberry was drafted with the 62nd pick in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He was selected by the Carolina Panthers, playing there for four years until signing a three-year, $45 million deal with the New York Giants in 2020.
In 2021, Bradberry played in all 17 games, collecting a career-high four interceptions. He also recovered two fumbles and collected 47 combined tackles. Despite his great season, 2020 remains the only campaign in which he was selected to the Pro Bowl.
