Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew II will start for Jacksonville in Week 15. Minshew had been off of the field for six weeks with a thumb injury before returning in Week 14.
The NFL’s Tom Pelissero, among others, reported that head coach Doug Marrone confirmed Minshew would return this week against the Baltimore Ravens.
During Minshew’s absence, Jake Luton and Mike Glennon started three games each for Jacksonville, and went a combined 0-6. The Jaguars are in the midst of a 12 game losing streak, winning only their first game (against the Colts) so far in 2020.
So far in his eight appearances this season, Minshew has thrown for 298 yards, 14 touchdowns and five interceptions. The Jaguars are 1-12 on the season, which is good for the second-worst team record in the league. The 0-13 New York Jets are the only team with a worse record, and currently hold the first overall pick in the draft if the season ended today.
