Tight end Foster Moreau is signing with a new team despite being in recovery for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The New Orleans Saints are signing Moreau to a three-year, $12 million deal. Reportedly, $8 million is guaranteed and $3 million can be earned in incentives.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.
Moreau was chosen in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Louisiana State University. He has, previously, only played for the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders since being drafted. His new team will allow him to return to his home state.
In 2022, Moreau played in 15 games, starting 14 of them. He caught 33 passes for 420 yards and two touchdowns. He’s increased his yardage total in both of the last two seasons, yet his touchdown total maxed out during his rookie season, when he caught five.
