Former Arizona Cardinals defensive end Zach Allen has signed a huge deal with a new team. The Broncos signed Allen to a reported three-year, $45.75 million, with $32.5 million guaranteed at signing. This will be his first long-term deal.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news late on Monday.
The Cardinals drafted Allen with a third round selection, 65th overall, out of Boston College. He made one Second Team All-ACC in 2018 while he was in school. He has yet to play every single game of a regular season since being drafted.
Allen played in 13 games last season, defending eight passes, grabbing 5.5 sacks and 47 combined tackles. While it was a career high sack total (by 1.5 sacks), he had more tackles in 2021 along with an interception.
